The project aims to enhance the competencies of school professionals through further education, thereby improving access to quality education within an inclusive welfare system. It involves creating courses targeted at various educational professionals, such as special education teachers, psychologists, and social workers. These courses are designed to support the educational and social inclusion of children facing vulnerable life situations. The focus is on children from Ukraine—both those who remain in the country and those in receiving countries, particularly Poland and Sweden.
Although each participating university will organize and conduct these courses separately, the project also aims to promote further cooperation. This can be realized through partially shared online courses, where students from all three countries can collaborate and interact.
Developing support services for children in vulnerable situations is a crucial step toward strengthening inclusivity in Europe. This project is closely linked to the EU Strategy for the Baltic Sea Region, particularly in “Education,” which aims to increase well-being by ensuring equal access to quality education and an effective social welfare system.
